Merchant processing fees

CXPay charges 1% on standard checkout, 0.5% when the payer selects the CXCASH rail (private, gas-free payments on Aztec via cxcash.app), and a $0.30 minimum fee per payment. There is no setup fee, monthly fee, or application fee in the product. Ethereum and Bitcoin network fees are shown to the payer at cost on those rails.

Introductory discounts and referral rewards may apply when administrators configure campaigns.

Worked examples

$10 order: 1% would be $0.10, but the $0.30 minimum applies, so the merchant fee is $0.30. On CXCASH the minimum still applies.

$100 order: $1.00 on standard checkout or $0.50 when the payer uses CXCASH.

$1,000 order: $10.00 standard or $5.00 on CXCASH—both above the minimum.

When the $0.30 minimum applies

On standard checkout the 1% fee reaches $0.30 at a $30 order, so any payment under $30 is charged the $0.30 minimum. On the CXCASH rail the 0.5% fee reaches $0.30 at $60, so payments under $60 pay the minimum there.

If most of your orders are small—digital downloads, tips, or low-priced subscriptions—the minimum is the number to plan around. For example, a $5 order costs $0.30 in fees, which is 6% of that sale. Bundling items or setting a minimum basket size keeps the effective rate closer to the headline percentage.

For larger orders the percentage always wins: from $30 up on standard checkout, and from $60 up on CXCASH, you simply pay 1% or 0.5% of the order value.

Payer network fees

Ethereum and Bitcoin on-chain network fees are passed through to payers at cost on those rails. Tron, Solana, and Bitcoin Lightning use the same 1% / 0.5% CXCASH merchant fee with Tron and Solana network costs absorbed—payers do not see an extra CXPay network line beyond what their wallet charges.

Steer payers to CXCASH for gas-free checkout when it fits your audience.

Fees CXPay does not charge

No setup fee, monthly fee, or application fee exists in the CXPay product described here. You still pay blockchain costs and CXPay per-payment fees.

There is no charge to create an account, add a payout wallet, or cancel. If you stop accepting payments, you stop paying—nothing renews in the background.

Compare externally

Merchants who educate payers about exact amounts and quote expiry see fewer support tickets. Publish your accepted assets and networks on your store policy page and link to CXPay asset guides. When customers pay with ETH or BTC, remind them that network fees appear separately from the CXPay merchant fee. For audiences comfortable with Aztec, highlight CXCASH as a gas-free alternative through cxcash.app.

Referral program tiers and intro discounts may reduce effective cost when administrators enable campaigns.

Reporting and referrals

Every payment shows up in your merchant dashboard with its status, amount, and time, and you can download a CSV whenever your bookkeeper needs a spreadsheet. Because money goes straight to your own wallet, your wallet history plus your CXPay reports give you a complete record for reconciliation.

Reports, CSV exports, payment links, invoices, API keys, webhooks, and test mode are included with every merchant account at no extra cost. Your developer can try the full payment flow with test keys before going live; the technical setup is covered in the CXPay docs.
