Ways to accept crypto payments

Hosted checkout gives payers a CXPay page tied to a payment intent—ideal for carts and custom apps. Payment links let you share a fixed USD amount URL in chat, email, or social posts without building UI. Invoices add structured line items and retrieval via API for accounting-friendly flows.

All channels share the same fee rules, webhook events, and payout wallet. You can mix hosted checkout on your site with payment links for one-off requests, then reconcile in the merchant dashboard or via GET /reports/payments and CSV export.

Payer experience and exact amounts

Checkout amounts are priced in USD and quoted to the payer as an exact crypto amount, rounded to a precision their wallet or exchange can actually type: two decimals for USD stablecoins and TRX, four for SOL, six for ETH and on-chain Bitcoin, and whole satoshis for Lightning. The payer must send that exact amount before the quote expires; quotes can be refreshed if they lapse. Underpaid, overpaid, and expired payments are surfaced as distinct statuses in the dashboard and via webhooks.

Payers see network fees at cost on Ethereum and Bitcoin rails. For a smoother, gas-free path, CXPay supports CXCASH settlement through cxcash.app with a lower merchant fee when that rail is selected.

Statuses such as underpaid, overpaid, and expired help both sides understand what happened without guessing from wallet history alone.

Networks and assets you can accept today

Supported networks and assets today: Ethereum (ETH, USDC, USDT, DAI); Base (ETH, USDC, DAI — USDT is not supported on Base); Arbitrum (ETH, USDC, USDT); Optimism (ETH, USDC, USDT, DAI); Polygon (MATIC, USDC, USDT, DAI); Tron (TRX, USDT TRC20); Solana (SOL, USDC, USDT); Bitcoin on-chain (BTC) and Bitcoin Lightning (BOLT11); and CXCASH (gas-free private payments via cxcash.app).

Checkouts use the supported asset list per network—not open-ended token selection. See asset-specific pages for USDC, USDT, DAI, ETH, BTC, and chain landing pages for Base, Polygon, Arbitrum, and Optimism.

Crypto payments for business operations

CXPay is non-custodial: when a payer completes checkout, funds settle directly to the payout wallet address you provide at sign-up. CXPay does not operate merchant hot wallets, sweeps, or pooled balances for your sales. You remain in control of the wallet that receives each payment.

CXPay charges 1% on standard checkout, 0.5% when the payer selects the CXCASH rail (private, gas-free payments on Aztec via cxcash.app), and a $0.30 minimum fee per payment. There is no setup fee, monthly fee, or application fee in the product. Ethereum and Bitcoin network fees are shown to the payer at cost on those rails.

CXPay does not offer fiat bank settlement or card processing—crypto only. Merchants who need USD in a bank account must handle conversion outside CXPay. That tradeoff keeps the product focused on wallet-native settlement.

Getting started without KYB paperwork

Merchant sign-up requires an email and password (or sign in with your existing CoinExchange account), a business name, and a payout wallet address. CXPay does not collect government ID, proof of address, business phone numbers, or KYB documents for onboarding. You are responsible for understanding obligations that may apply to your business in your jurisdiction.

After sign-up, create API keys for server-side integrations or use the dashboard for links and invoices. Test keys let you exercise webhooks and statuses before going live with cxpay_live_ credentials.
