Published merchant fees

CXPay charges 1% on standard checkout, 0.5% when the payer selects the CXCASH rail (private, gas-free payments on Aztec via cxcash.app), and a $0.30 minimum fee per payment. There is no setup fee, monthly fee, or application fee in the product. Ethereum and Bitcoin network fees are shown to the payer at cost on those rails.

Introductory discounts and referral rewards may be available when administrators configure promotions. Gamified referral tiers can reduce effective costs when you refer other merchants.

Worked examples merchants use

A $10 order pays the $0.30 minimum—not ten cents at 1%. A $100 order pays $1.00 on standard checkout or $0.50 when the payer uses CXCASH. A $1,000 order pays $10 standard or $5 on CXCASH, well above the minimum.

See the pricing page for a full table and network fee notes for ETH and BTC payers.

Steer payers to CXCASH for gas-free checkout

Ethereum and Bitcoin network fees are passed to payers at cost on those rails. CXCASH via cxcash.app removes gas for payers and cuts your merchant fee to 0.5% when that rail is selected.

Marketing copy on your site can highlight gas-free private payment without promising outcomes CXPay does not control on other chains.

How public competitor pricing compares

BitPay lists 2% plus $0.25 under $500k monthly volume, stepping down at higher tiers, plus business verification requirements per their public pages (checked October 2026).

NOWPayments lists 1% same-coin and 1.5% with conversion, with potential 0.5% after KYC and KYB. Coinbase Commerce migrated to Coinbase Business with registered-entity requirements. CXPay does not offer fiat settlement but keeps merchant fees predictable for wallet payout.

No application or monthly platform fee

CXPay does not charge an application fee in the product codebase paths described here, and there is no monthly SaaS fee for access to checkout, links, invoices, or API.

You still pay blockchain costs where applicable and the per-payment CXPay fee.

The merchant dashboard and GET /reports/payments help you filter by status and time range. Download GET /exports/payments.csv when finance needs a spreadsheet-friendly view. Pair exports with webhook-driven order updates so internal systems stay aligned with on-chain settlement. Because CXPay does not hold balances, your wallet history and CXPay reports together form the reconciliation trail.

Server integrations should create payment intents with Idempotency-Key headers, persist the returned intent ID on your order row, and only mark paid after payment.succeeded verifies on your webhook handler. Test keys let you exercise the full lifecycle without touching live balances. WooCommerce merchants request the official plugin through the contact form and configure API base URL plus webhook secrets before going live.

Optimize real-world fees

Merchants who educate payers about exact amounts and quote expiry see fewer support tickets. Publish your accepted assets and networks on your store policy page and link to CXPay asset guides. When customers pay with ETH or BTC, remind them that network fees appear separately from the CXPay merchant fee. For audiences comfortable with Aztec, highlight CXCASH as a gas-free alternative through cxcash.app.
